Two-day workshop ‘Time to maintain tunnels’, Delft
This years theme: Skills and resources: better, smarter, together
On June 24–25, 2026, the two-day workshop ‘Time to Maintain Tunnels’ will take place in Delft, focusing on the theme skills and resources: better, smarter, together. The event is aimed at tunnel owners (road and rail) and centers on sharing best practices, smart tools, and new insights.
Due to shortages in staff, time, and budgets, there is a need to work more efficiently and collaboratively. Colleagues from across Europe will share their experiences, including Dutch and Flemish e-learnings on tunnel renovation and a model for estimating required working hours.
Participants are encouraged to register and contribute their own tools, best practices, and insights.
Themes to be addressed on the workshop Time to maintain tunnels 2026 24 and 25 June, Delft, The Netherlands:

- How do we ensure well-trained tunnel professionals, how do we keep them trained, and how do we make this an attractive sector for new entrants? First inventory and sharing of ideas.
